Memorial Bench Program

DUE TO OVERWHELMING INTEREST, WE HAVE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED THE MEMORIAL BENCH PROGRAM.
We plan to re-open the program sometime in 2022. Any applications with payment received before re-opening will be mailed back to sender.

The Memorial Bench program was created to give trail users a unique opportunity to honor or memorialize a loved one on the Cambria County Trails. All benches are locally constructed and can be purchased as either a wooden bench or a metal bench with a personalized memorial plaque. Proceeds from the Memorial Bench Program go towards upkeep of the benches over the years and also toward the Friends of the Trails program, which exists to enhance and expand the Cambria County Trails. Those interested in purchasing a bench should submit the form below, along with payment.

Each bench purchase includes:

  • Construction of the bench (complete w/ concrete bench pads/ends)
  • A personalized memorial plaque (2″ x 4″)
  • Installation in a mutually agreed upon location along either the Ghost Town Trail,  Path of the Flood Trail, or Jim Mayer Riverswalk Trail
  • Wear and tear costs for 10 years
